Eligibility and Admission Procedure for B. Tech

Eligibility

The student should have passed 2nd PUC / 12th standard or equivalent examination with English as one of the languages and obtained 50% of marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry /Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology. In case of candidates belonging to Karnataka Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and other Backward Classes (Category I, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B), the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 45% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination.

NMIT Bangalore Admission Process 2025

NMIT Bangalore admission 2025 is a multi-step process. Candidates who want to take admission in any of the UG or PG level programmes offered by the institute are required to pass the Nitte University Common Admission Test (NUCAT) conducted by the deemed-to-be university:

STEP 1: NMIT Bangalore Application Process 2025

Candidates are required to register for fresh admission through the NMIT Bangalore website. Candidates must furnish their basic, personal, guardian, and educational details and must choose the preferred programme and submit all the necessary documents. The final step of the application process is to submit the application fees.

STEP 2: Selection

The deemed-to-be-university conducts NUCAT for admission to UG and PG programmes. NUCAT is a multiple-choice test of 120 minutes comprising 120 questions. The test is conducted in online mode.

STEP 3: Seat Allotment and Counselling

The shortlisted candidates are further required to appear for the counselling and document verification process. Candidates are allotted seats based on their entrance exam rank. Aspirants need to pay the NMIT Bangalore fee to confirm their seats.
