Candidates must have secured a passing grade in their 12th-grade exams. They should have received at least 45-50% marks in their class 12 board exams from any of the reputable boards, including CBSE, NIOS, ICSE, or the State Boards.

Candidates should have completed their 10+2 in Mathematics,Physics, and Chemistry. For admission to B.E./B. Tech, they must be from the science stream.

Ways to Get Direct Admission to B.Tech

Different direct admission seats are available at engineering institutes which may cost a little more than standard admissions. Candidates can check the rules and criteria to get direct admission in B.Tech for colleges offering management quota or institutional-level open seats.

Management Quota Seats: 

Private universities and engineering institutes offer these seats. They directly provide admission based on 12th-class grades without the requirement for entrance exam results. The management quota seats comprise roughly 20–30% of the seats available for admission to these universities. Several merit seats may also be changed into management quota seats if vacant.

Institutional Level Open Seats: 

Following counselling based on candidates' entrance exam scores, some open seats remain in colleges for which private colleges offer direct admission based on grades from the 12th grade. These seats also go towards the management quota. For direct admission to engineering institutes in Pune, candidates may also apply for these seats.
